SIGMA LUNDINOVA IN THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

In collaboration with Region Skåne, a new flow and pressure meter is being developed. The meter is adapted for use in ventilators and similar equipment for Covid-19 patients.

Sigma Lundinova does not charge for the work done on a voluntary basis and to some extent even outside working hours. We see it as a way for individuals and companies to jointly support healthcare under great pressure. Skåne University Hospital is responsible for material costs and is free to use the results of the work.

"Being involved in the creation of something that can potentially save lives feels really meaningful," says Sven Forsberg, who leads the design of the sensors and electronics.

"Thanks to the industry's expertise, we get results quickly," says Associate Professor Einar Heiberg of the Department of Clinical Physiology, which coordinates the medical needs.

Sigma Lundinova has about 30 employees and offers expertise in electronics, software, project management and production. Sigma Lundinova's designs are found in successful products in areas such as medtech, cleantech, electric vehicles, IoT, industry and mobile telephony.
