Since 2001, we have been developing products for our customers and partners.
At our own facilities, we develop, build, and verify complete prototypes. As the project grows, we scale up with Sigma Connectivity and our partner network.
INVESTIGATION
Does your idea need to be fleshed out? Or do you have a difficult technical problem that needs to be solved? We often start with a feasibility study to ensure that we’re developing the right product. We also conduct in-depth technical studies and can begin at the research level when necessary. This may involve theoretical studies, performance analyses of entire systems, or the evaluation of rapid, hand-built prototypes to test a concept.
FIRMWARE
We do all kinds of embedded software, ranging from assembler on an 8-bit processor to OS work in Android. In between, we develop bootloaders, drivers and applications directly on the hardware, under any RTOS or on Linux.
We also have software engineers who are specialized, for example in algorithm development, motor control or control engineering. If you're looking for something specific, ask us; if we can't do it ourselves, we have a large network.
ELECTRONICS
Our engineers are senior, driven and self-motivated, and design electronics efficiently and accurately. We work both with accurate process-driven development for the medical industry and the production of rapid prototypes for inventors and innovators who need to test an idea. Our strength is electronics development in Lund which includes - connected industry, consumer electronics, high voltage, extreme reliability, safety and low cost electronics.
HIGH VOLTAGE
Our engineers develop customized power solutions for products with high performance and reliability requirements. We design custom power supplies, DC/DC solutions, and transformers for applications ranging from low power to systems exceeding 20 kW. With expertise in power electronics, magnetic components, and high-power design, we assist our customers from requirements definition and design through prototyping and verification. With our high-voltage lab , we can perform measurements, verification, and testing in realistic environments.
MOTOR CONTROL
Our engineers develop motor control systems for products where precision, efficiency, and reliability are key factors. We design solutions for applications such as electric drive systems, industrial applications, and products with high performance and control requirements. We handle the entire development process, from control and electronics design to prototyping, verification, and testing.
PROTOTYPE & LAB
We develop complete prototypes to quickly validate ideas and functionality. Our engineers combine electronics, software, and mechanics with techniques such as 3D printing and prototyping to create and test physical products early in the development process. We’ll guide you every step of the way, from concept to a working prototype.
QUALITY INITIATIVES
Do you want to test the quality of products you buy? Or ensure that your own products pass type tests or meet stringent internal safety requirements? We regularly carry out in-depth analysis of electronics and software to ensure safety, functionality and quality. What's more, the lessons learned from this work feed directly back into our development process.
MANUFACTURING
We always develop electronics with production testing and manufacturing in mind from the start. We have been through hundreds of production start-ups, which has humbled us with the work required to achieve high quality at a low price.
We regularly undertake projects with production partners, both locally, in Eastern Europe, and in Asia.
CERTIFICATION
We always design electronics and software to meet regulatory requirements such as RED, LVD, CRA, and RoHS, which are necessary for CE or FCC certification, and we conduct regular testing as early as the prototype stage. We have strong relationships with several testing laboratories for certification testing and will assist you every step of the way until you receive a signed Declaration of Conformity.
Our engineers are self-motivated and driven, and understand the value of delivering the right quality on time. We are a close-knit team of consultants where everyone has their specialties. Team Lundinova consists of 33 people, of which 31 are engineers - this means that everyone knows what everyone is working on, and everyone knows each other's superpowers. Advice from a domain expert is never more than a few meters away. Together, we become a well-oiled machine - efficient and reliable.
We have most of what we need in our premises on Dalbyvägen in Lund. Electronics lab, prototype lab, high voltage lab, radio lab, EMC lab and a small mechanical workshop. When that's not enough, we're five minutes away from our parent company Sigma Connectivity, which has the largest lab in northern Europe. They also have calibrated EMC chambers that we borrow regularly.
We work with both globally established companies and local startups across a variety of industries, including healthcare, environmental technology, manufacturing, automotive, and consumer goods. There are few industries in which we haven’t worked. We’ve helped more than 250 clients with over 1,000 projects, and that number is growing steadily. Three out of every four projects we undertake are with repeat clients, something we’re incredibly proud of.
