LUNDINOVA HELPS TENDO WITH ASSISTIVE DEVICES FOR SPINAL CORD INJURIES
Tendo is developing a grip-assisting exoskeleton, a thin and flexible robotic glove that helps people with limited hands to grasp, hold and release objects. The technology has made it possible for a paralyzed person to grasp glasses and cutlery and thus eat and drink by themselves. The product's revolutionary sensor system gives the user full control, completely intuitive, without involving buttons or opaque pressure sensors.
"Sigma Lundinova has extensive experience in low-power embedded electronics and sensors. A perfect partner for our company", says Sofie Woge, CEO of Tendo AB.
"It feels meaningful to work with medical devices," says Volker Sarodnik, software engineer at Sigma Lundinova. 'One day you might need effective aids yourself'
Sigma Lundinova has about 30 employees and offers expertise in electronics, software, project management and production. Sigma Lundinova's designs are found in successful products in areas such as medtech, cleantech, electric vehicles, IoT, industry and mobile telephony.
