HÖVDING - airbag for urban cyclists

HÖVDING

Back in 2007, we helped Hövding build their first data logger as they explored the possibility of turning their idea into a consumer product—to truly protect cyclists using modern technology. This turned out to be a stroke of luck. Today, Hövding has protected a large number of cyclists in accidents that would otherwise have had serious consequences.

Hövding has always had its own talented R&D team, but we have regularly supported them in various electronics and software projects. For example, we solved the problem of false low-battery alarms that received a lot of media attention, something that turned out to be quite complex and difficult to identify. We also designed the architecture for the next version and started electronics development, but that project was never completed before the Hövding bankruptcy in December 2023.
