The light source is suspended in a kind of active gimbal that uses a precision motor to keep it level with the road at all times. Lundinova has developed all the electronics, motor control and software, which together with control algorithms ensure that the light source always remains horizontal. The algorithm turns out to be quite complex when you zoom in on the problem, it is not just to measure the gravity vector with an accelerometer, a motorcycle creates large dynamic forces that must be considered, not least when cornering.
